Classic Adam Kay, I will read anything he writes. I used to think the only appeals of his books were pre-med students that were trying to get into medical school with a cool personal statement, however I have been proved wrong (twice now). Genuinely interesting, despite me already being in med school!

Mix of funny jokes/stories and sad stories. Interesting snippets of the authors experiences as a doctor in the UK!

I appreciated the warnings about particularly upsetting medical procedures so that you can skip if you’d like. This was a quick and enjoyable read given that it’s a slim book!

I have Kay’s first book, This is going to Hurt, so I’m excited to get a more In depth look at his work experiences and learn more about healthcare in the UK.

Honestly I forgot how much I enjoyed Adam Kay’s sense of humour. While not as emotional as the first book, it’s to be expected since this is essentially a novella.

Despite being a short read, this is a lovely snippet that contains heartache and laughter. Its short and sweet, for a better more fleshed out time read This Is Going To Hurt.
