Funny and well-written, an interesting insight into medical practice in the UK and the toll it takes on the doctors and nurses at the “most wonderful time of the year”

Honestly I forgot how much I enjoyed Adam Kay’s sense of humour. While not as emotional as the first book, it’s to be expected since this is essentially a novella.

Despite being a short read, this is a lovely snippet that contains heartache and laughter. Its short and sweet, for a better more fleshed out time read This Is Going To Hurt.

i didn’t find this book flowed as quickly as ‘this is going to hurt’, but it was equally as heartbreaking, funny and informative. This festive sequel again makes me feel so appreciative of the things and people i have around me, and make me feel incredibly proud of those i know who are on the front line of our country and sacrifice themselves for our wellbeing! Kay’s writing is truly beautiful!
