Now that I work/studying a career within the NHS, I can definitely relate and understand the frustration and feelings from this!

Great read and great laugh. Even tho the NHS is still a shambles but we’ll get there !!

A hilarious and funny book about a junior doctor and his adventures and trials during Christmas work. There was plenty of funny things and enough stuff that made me doubt humanity (if you are allergic to peanuts stuffing it in your vagina will still give you a reaction... and also no to mars wrappers being used for condoms). There are also some OMG moments and some sadder moments that had me feeling a bit teary. I am rating it a bit lower as there were a few things I wasn't that interested in + I do wonder if he really did a lot of effort in getting the days off? I actually felt sorry for his family and his lover, because he never seemed to get a day off.

An expansion, more or less, to the brutally funny, but terrifying, This Is Going To Hurt.

This was definitely the best book I could’ve read for a light reading break. Laughed and felt for the author and his patients. Might be a short book, but made me see things in a perspective I’ve never seen. Thank you to all the medical workers and to Adam Kay for opening my eyes and making me grateful of my life.

Like many others have said, my only complaint is that it simply wasn't long enough! I enjoyed every entry, whether they were heartbreaking or hilarious, each passage is so interesting. I think this is a must read for anyone involved with the NHS, as I'm sure many people can relate to the tales told.
