Fun if you're familiar with the sourcebook. Not terribly well written dialogue. A really large story shoved in to 4 issues. Would still read more with these characters, Runa being the strongest.

This was a fun little adventure. I love Icewind Dale so I thought I’d like this, and I did. The plot was bad and the writing was so cheesy, but the characters were fun, there was a lot of entertaining action, and the art direction was incredible. I found that it was hard to put down. It felt like a first-time DM’s one-shot adventure with players who are just in it to have fun — it felt like D&D. I could really do without the “collectivism is evil and poor people are the bad guys” trope, but the plot wasn’t meant to be the focus here. If you like Icewind Dale, an action-packed story, and great art, check this one out! If want a story that’s a little more serious and thought out, there are definitely better D&D comics out there that do that.

As a bonus, I loved how they included character sheets for some of the characters at the end. I would like to have seen Saarvin, since he was my favorite character, but it was still a nice touch.
