The novella focuses on the human Queen, Alexandra, as she copes with the aftermath of her despicable Blueblood husband's ruthless rule and abhorrent treatment of her. Convinced by the council that she must marry and produce an heir, Alexandra plays host to visiting diplomats and local aristocrats all vying for her hand. Unfortunately, someone has decided to take the opportunity to remove Alexandra from the throne permanently.

An entertaining epilogue to the series that ties up all the loose ends. All of the couples from the previous books put in an appearance and their bickering and banter are delightful.

The romance between Queen Alexandra and her loyal advisor, Sir Gideon Scott, is sweet. They have strong chemistry and their interactions are engaging.

The assassination plot is cleverly interwoven into the narrative although it is obvious from the start who is behind it all.

This is the final book in this particular arc, but Bec McMaster has hinted at more to come and there are definitely characters and potential storylines available for continuing. The possibility of a revolution amongst the Blood Court is particularly intriguing as well as the upcoming treaty talks between the Russian Bluebloods and the Scandinavian Verwulfen. Hopefully, it will materialize.

After teasing her readers for many months, finally McMaster release From London, With Love. A conclusion for London Steampunk: Blueblood Conspiracies and also a HEA for Queen Alexandra and her love, Sir Gideon Scott. Talk about time, hahaha.

This novella is a gift for London Steampunk readers, that's why McMaster give it as a freebies for newsletter subscribers. But if you don't read her London Steampunk series yet, I suggest please do. Start with Kiss of Steel, because McMaster is one of underrated steampunk romance writer out there. And although steampunk is what make her recognized as a writer, she write a good fantasy romance too!

I do like the way McMaster handle Alexandra's traumas and how Gideon treat Alexandra. It's not easy to be Alexandra. Lost her child, her freedom when she was married to the Prince Consort also to keep her sanity intact. McMaster write it well and although Spoiler no actual sex scene happen between Alexandra and Gideon. How could you,McMaster? WHYYYYYYY *Ren screaming languishly to the heaven , the way McMaster write the sexual tension is good. Too good perhaps, since I keep yelling "OMG, just kissing already!" or "OMG, just have sex already!". Haha. The angsty also written well. I can feel the Gideon's anguish and how Alexandra try to overcome her traumas without its feel forced. Also thanks God, no more deus ex machinae plot.

Another precious tidbits is when finally Malloryn realizes his error way when its comes to Alexandra, and the people who point him of his errors are both women. That's why woman is always right *chuckle, but, to be exact, that's what make I appreciate Malloryn, because he listen to both his wife and Gemma. Admit his mistakes, not rebuffed them, and then apologize when necessary. I always think that Mallory is kinda like a big brother to Alexandra and its make me smile to read their back and forth banter. And Malloryn as a fairy godmother, lololol. Seems like that roles suit his better rather than his Machiavelli persona.

Not only conclude Alexandra's HEA, but this novella also give reader glimpse into what McMaster have for her London Steampunk next arc. Sadly, we will wait until some years, because she want to finish her other series. Either way, I can't hardly wait! :)

This is a great little HEA epilogue rounding out the London Steampunk: Blueblood Conspiracy series. Queen Alexandra finally gets her HEA with Sir Gideon, leader of the humanist movement.

That's right, her spymaster, the Duke of Malloryn, has finally decided that the country needs an heir. At the same time, he's feeling like a matchmaking mama ever since he found his own one true love, so he's decided that she should have the man (everyone knows) she loves.

With cameos from almost all of the previous couples, lots of vampire politics, and (of course!) a long-awaited romance, this is the perfect little cherry on top of the sundae of the series. (That said, if you wanted to give us a little story featuring Nikolai, [author:Bec McMaster|5763301], we would be THRILLED!)

7-Word Summaries:

Laine: Sex therapy with your one true love.

Meg: International alliance? Gross. Go for true love.

CW: Miscarriage, stillbirth, DV survivor, recovering addiction, blood, gore, etc.

From London, With Love was a lovely epilogue to the series. I'm glad Alexandra got her happily ever after, and the scenes with the COR and Malloryn and Adele were delightful. I'm also excited that there is another spin-off The Blood Court in the works.

Well I just want to cry. It's over. Until the next spin off in 2022!

Loved seeing the Queen get her HEA... but I hate endings! What a series.

I’m not a big novella person, but when I saw there was a final novella in the London Steampunk: The Blue Blood Conspiracy theory, I knew I had to read it. I really just wanted to spend more time with these characters.

The novella is a really fun, quick read that gives Alexandra, the Queen of England, the love story and ending she deserved. Alexandra has gone through so much over the course of the two series and it was so nice to have her get her own happily ever after.

Even for a novella, Bec McMaster has to bring in some drama and plots. Not only is Alexandra trying to find a new husband thanks to Malloryn’s suggestions that it will sure up the line of succession, the Rogues are fending off an assassin attempt against her from an unknown assailant. I loved seeing all the Rogues again in this as they work to uncover who the bad guy was. I will say, I did predict the bad person early on, but I still really liked the self-contained plot in this novel.

I was also so thrilled we got to see the romance develop between Alexandra and Sir Gideon. I definitely feel like we had gotten hints of a spark between them in some of the later books in the London Steampunk: The Blue Blood Conspiracy series and I loved how this book filled in some of their history. It was so funny to me that everyone but them could see the match Malloryn was angling to make with his marriage scheme. While this was short, I feel like because we knew these characters and they had chemistry, the romance worked well and didn’t feel rushed. I love how Alexandra just wanted someone to see her for who she is as a person and Gideon was the perfect match for her.

Overall, this was a fun little novel that gives a little peek into the lives of the Rogues after things return to relative normal. I feel likeI’m literally obsessed with this series and the world that McMaster created, so getting to spend a little extra time in it was perfect. If you love this series, you’ll likely want to give this novella a quick read through as it’s such a nice epilogue to the series.

After trying a whole host of her books, I think Bec McMaster is just not the author for me. I always come away wanting more of something. In this case, the villain was practically wearing a giant sign that said "Villain", so obvious was it that they were the bad guy behind the scenes. The romance was fine, but a giant plot point does get resolved through a perfunctory epilogue. I realize this is a novella so you can't fit everything in, but perhaps this should have been a longer form story.
