I can definitely see the hype in the book. I enjoyed it and flew through it. I already have the next book up on my tbr. I cant wait to get to it another amazing read from Sarah. The writing style always flows, and the characters and world is keeping me here. I can't wait to continue and enjoy the rest of the series.

If you're wanting to enter the fantasy-romance genre, ACOTAR is a nice entry-level series. A bit of smut, ooh sexy tension - a stockholm syndrome love story.

stick with it! the world building is difficult and very slow at first but it’s a great first book for the series

This book gives off heavy Beauty & the Beast vibes just add in faeries! I was honestly surprised that I enjoyed the book. The audiobook (non-dramatized version) sounded like AI at first/very robotic w/ no emotion. But I guess I adjusted to it over time. I wouldn’t recommend this audio version tbh. I’m interested to see how this thread with Rhys & Feyre turns out. From what I’ve heard this series is unexpected in a lot of ways!
