I think that this book is pretty alright. The protagonist wasn’t exactly my favourite— she’s very hypocritical and monotonous, but does have a lot of character development through the first book (though I still don’t really enjoy her). The other characters were far more captivating to me, as well as the world-building being quite thorough. However, I will say that the writing can get boring at times and the way this book finished was extremely disappointing, but only because I would think it happens later in the series. Overall, not a horrible book I do recommend!

Good slow build romance. Lots of tension. I thought the world building was pretty good for a book that isn't high fantasy. Overall an enjoyable read. I liked that Feyre didn't have unrealistic abilities like other heroines do. 

There was some repetition that was annoying and I didn't like how Alis just told everything to Feyre. The riddle was silly. The villain sucked, so one dimensional. I didn't understand how her sister fell in love with a mortal who disdained her.
