I can see the thread of appeal in the book but the story was contrived and kind of silly with how specific the villian's curse was. And a bunch of questionable prose.

I’m no book reviewer, but for me this was a breeze to read as soon as things kicked off, I enjoyed the story and universe greatly even if I scratched my head at some decisions.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! It got AMAZING in the last 50 or so pages and held a pretty good plot twist at the end (idk what to call it).

This book is heavily based on fairy tales (Beauty and the Beast). I didn’t finish this book the first time a read it but this time I was successful. From what I’ve heard from Maas fans this is her worst book, which for the record was a good book. There were some things I thought should be different in the book but still a great read.
