Dewey was dropped into the library's return book slot on the coldest night of the year, he was only 8 weeks old! He survived and lived in the library for over 15 years touching lives in big and small ways.

Very touching story of just how animals can change, help and touch our lives. Be prepared laugh and cry.

I have read and reread this book several times. It’s a great cozy read. From Dewey’s origin story to his death, from the person who took care of him, to the people he interacted with, this is a feel good story you can enjoy reading again and again.

Schmaltzy story about an abandoned cat who finds new life in a small town library. The romanticization of life in Iowa to be expected, it doesn't fall in that regard.

Perhaps I'll review further soon.

The story of Dewey is heartwarming and lovely. The writing is not great, but the story is. And we all need a wonderful story in our lives sometimes! Just don't finish the book while riding the bus, because, if you're like me, you'll embarrass yourself in front of the other rides by crying.

I love cats, books and tales of heartbreak and struggle. This was all of that.

A delightful memoir of not just a cat, but also of its author. A lovely testament that the best person you can be is who you are whether from London, Tokyo, or a small town in Iowa.
