I have fallen in love with this series.

Gwen has had a tough week. She just found out that she can travel through time and she is last in her family that will be able to do it. She also has fallen head over heels for her time travel companion, Gideon, but she does not know if she can trust him. She can't even trust the Guardians (the keepers of the chronograph [the machine to regulate time travel]) because they won't tell her anything. So Gwen starts looking for things on her own, with the help of Lesley (her best friend), Raphael (Gideon's gorgeous brother), and Xermerius (a gargoyle ghost/demon that follows Gwen around).

Xermerius is my absolute favorite. We met him at the end of Ruby Red and he is the funniest thing. Kerstin Gier has a great way of writing where I feel like laughing out loud. Also, when Gwen goes through something painful emotionally, I feel all that pain that she feels because of how well Gier writes.

I have to say though, Gideon gets on my nerves.
Spoiler HOW COULD HE DO THAT TO GWEN?!?!? HE COMPLETELY TRICKED HER TO FALL IN LOVE WITH HIM!! But while he was tricking her, he fell in love with her, but to him it was all a game! I can not believe that happened! My heart shattered like Gwen's ruby heart (in Aunt Maddy's vision) when I read that part. I could not believe my eyes.

I gave Sapphire Blue four out of five stars because sometimes it rattled on a little bit, just talking about information that was leading up to important information, but it was just kind of boring. But that's really it. Overall, I really enjoyed this book.

I would not only recommend this book, but I would recommend this series to everyone, because it is so addicting to read. Yesterday I stayed up until midnight reading because I just couldn't put it down. It is hands down an amazing series, and I can't wait to start the next book (it's in my sister's room and I'm going to steal it mwahahaha)

*This book does not count for my reading challenge, it was just one that I had to pick up and read right then because you can't just end the first book with a kiss and not expect me to wait until my reading challenge is done to start the next one. I can't imagine what it would of been like if I had to wait for the next book to come out if I was reading this in 2011!

Trotz dessen, dass Gwen dumm wie Brot dargestellt wird, was echt unverschämt ist tbh, wieder ein tolles Buch :)

the book did get thrown across the room a few times because it angered me so much. stupid Gideon being stupid. I need Emerald Green ASAP! stupid ending, stupid boy, stupid time travelers, stupid love for this book. read it.

Now that I know how it ends I didn't get as mad at this book as last year when I read it. Gideon is still a twat waffle but that is how men are. What annoyed me this time was how much crap Gwen took from everyone. The entire book everyone is so rude and mean and insulting to her, I just wanted to slap them all. If it was me I would probably tell them to shove it up their... nevermind.
