adventurous dark slow-paced

It had been a while since I read the first book in the series, so coming back to this after such a long gap did me no favours. It could be partially due to that that I found the first part of the book so slow and confusing. I didn't remember who any of the characters were.
Once I got in to part 2 everything picked back up and I really enjoyed the rest of the read. I have no idea where the series goes from here though.

I haven't had this much fun reading a book in a long time. The ideas were mind expanding. The plot twists were delightful. There was a lot of serious philosophy and psychology . Usually the middle book of a trilogy can be problematic but this was the best of the bunch so far.

Interesting part 2 of the three body problem series- satisfying end with earth and alien alignment of working together for each others future survival in the dark forest, aka the universe

really great continuation of the three body problem, the suspense, the development of science and technology, the constant unknown, and the lives, feeling, and beliefs of people avaiting war

Significantly different from the 1st book.
Tehnological advance aspect was interesting, as opposed to the scientific ones.
Resolution felt deus-ex machina.
I also don't see anything left for the 3rd book to do.

I can’t deal with this main character or the narration style any more. I think I could only handle 1 book

One can clearly tell a different translator was used for this book compared to "The Three-Body Problem." It has a much more American English feel to it which I feel distracts from the otherworldliness of the first book. With that said the storyline is amazing and presents a wonderful continuation of the storyline, taking it in a completely different direction. I eagerly await the release of "Death's End" and the conclusion of the trilogy.
