This short story collection contains two of my favorite of Neil's short stories- Murder Mysterys and We Can Get Em For You Wholesale. Murder Mysterys is about the first murder basically, and Wholesale is just so much fun! Perfect for after a frustrating day of work with a difficult coworker.

A really interesting mixed collection. After reading each story I'd flick back to the intro to read what he wrote about it. Some were easily 5+ stars, others weren't too my taste, but a really varied mix.
Opowiadania Gaimana są bardzo nierówne jeśli chodzi o jakość, ale trochę nie o to chodzi w takich antologiach. Wgłębienie się w parędziesiąt opowiadań i wierszy sprawia, że trudno wyrzucić z głowy wizje strachu, miłości i różnych koszmarów kreowanych przez Gaimana. Niektóre historie były wstrząsające inne nawet miejscami śmieszne, ale większość z nich pokazywała tylko skrawek wykreowanej rzeczywistości i sprawiała, że trudno mi było zdecydować na którym opowiadaniu kończę lekturę na ten moment.
I am embarrassingly late to the Gaiman party, and this is my first taste of his work, after having learned of his existence embarrassingly late as well and then having taken an embarrassingly long time to actually get around to trying out this author that sounded ideal for me. I received this book in a white elephant gift exchange, and that was finally the push I needed to read me some Gaiman and was likely the best white elephant gift I've ever received. These stories are fascinating and disturbing, otherworldly and yet deeply human. Some of these will really stick with me, for better or worse, and I can't wait to read more.
Unfortunately I didn't like this.
1. I noticed I am not the biggest fan of short stories, because I hate not getting to know the characters and the setting.
2. I just didn't understand what the stories were about. This may very well be due to my own stupidity, but I DNFd multiple stories, because I didn't understand what it was about (or just didn't enjoy it).
The one story that I did understand and even somewhat enjoyed was 'We can get them for you wholesale'. I also thought 'The Wedding Present' had an interesting twist.
