A really fun read! Nothing revolutionary or wildly emotional but I enjoyed it nonetheless. It felt like twilight with fae, which is not a complaint -just an observation and maybe something to keep in mind. The last 20% felt a little rushed and there was less spice than expected. A fun, easy fantasy read to get me out of my slump.

This was okay for a quick fantasy read. I was really invested at the beginning whenever Thea was starting to learn more about the fae and beginning her relationship with Devin (slight Twilight vibes perhaps with Bella pouring over research). I do kind of wish this was a Thea-centered novel or that there was more balance between Devin's and Thea's chapters. The split chapters would have made more sense if the two had drastically different viewpoints to give but they didn't seem to really give that much of a difference except in one or two situations. After the transformation things were all right. Thea was still learning and getting used to everything; she was coming into new powers and skills but wasn't a master of them right away. The last third or so of the book, however, felt a tad rushed to me with the whole battle. After the big bad was found out, it almost seemed like she fell too easily (especially with Thea's healing powers at play).

(Personally, wasn't a fan of the sex scenes included. They didn't really add anything for me regarding Devin's and Thea's bond.)
