A short novel featuring Callie, who has tourette's syndrome and is sick and tired of constantly moving home and school to fit in with her mother's latest relationship.

Her mother tells her to hide her tourette's syndrome tics, but over time Callie realises that it is easier to fit in by being honest with her friends about her "weird" movements and sounds.

A nice little novel which gives an entry insight into tourette's.

I did not realize this was a YA read, I was just sucked in my the pretty cover and the fact it was available on Libby. Obviously being only 5hrs long, I should’ve realized it.

This was a great story about the power of friendship and perseverance and honestly was a little refreshing from the heavy books I’ve been reading/listening to lately.

The way this story is written is so digestible and approachable for all ages. We get to see the beginning of Calliope's journey to self love and the nuances of middle school friendships, especially while being neurodivergent. Such a beautiful and poetic novel! Despite the adolescence of the characters, I still found myself relating to the characters and learning new things about humanity, even as an adult.
