The last book of this series took some rather dark turns. But I loved it all the same. The characters have changed a lot from the first book, but between all the darkness, you could always catch glimpses of the "old ones".

To be fair, the trilogy just kept being a bit less good with every book but saying that, I still see this trilogy as 5 stars as a whole. The first book I gave 5 stars, the second 4.75 and this one 4.5. I still find them incredible and a lot of fun to read, I couldn’t put them down. A lot of morally grey things happening in this which I like, books should make us think, what these books definitely did. I would recommend this trilogy to everyone who likes mysteries.

So good!!!!!! This book was so worth the slower read of the second book. This was fast paced from the beginning and had some major twists I wasn’t expecting. I cried on the last page! I think this book did a great job addressing Pip’s very real PTSD and that made her character a lot more interesting. I like that she also took responsibility for things. The first book and this one are phenomenal, but the second seemed like a filler to get us to the emotional point that Pip is at. So glad I continued to read the series!!!
