I'm not usually of lover of slow burn, but this book did it so well that I didn't even mind. Somme gave you just enough between Rafe and Penny to make you keep coming back for more. The banter was top-notch and had me laughing out loud at some points. I loved Penny and the badass vibes she gave off. Rafe was sexy and possessive, everything a book boyfriend should be!!
once again, quick and easy read. fun and fast paced. i’m starting to love the visconti brothers and this world. I definitely like both rafe and penny individually more than i did angelo and rory and the bird puns are gone !!!! just like all interconnected stand-alones, the callbacks and characters are so fun. not life changing but a good quick bite of a book!

He broke down her fucking door because she didn’t pick up her phone.
The man was obsessed.
He gave me Elijah Mikaelson vibes. He’s a true gentleman. Except there’s nothing true there, and he’s really the bad brother. It’s all a mask, and he’s actually using it to keep people charmed and out of his business.
