If you can get through the world building that is Part 1, this is a fantastic book. As a lover of Frankenstein, I found the concept of Frankenstein meets Jurassic Park a great twist on the classic novel. The bad guy gets it in the end, the awful relationship comes to a head and the sapphic romance as a sub theme make a wonderful retelling on the original science fiction novel.
