“Loyalty makes it easy to be blinded by a devil who disguises himself a saint.”

Where do I even begin??! Shadows was such an epic adventure that I did not want to out down! The attention to details and vivid descriptions made it so easy for me to envision the world I was walking in. World building was easy to follow and get immersed in. I actually liked the mix of language that’s more “modern” and what I would expect in a fictional fantasy realm.

The characters?! Put a group of very different individuals set on a mission that should guarantee death…what could possibly go wrong? A lot but the way each character had their own shining moments. But can I just say…the BANTER, the BANTER had me laughing entirely too much (not complaining).

I think this is a great high fantasy read for those who are custom/familiar to fantasy and those new or wanting to get into fantasy. I honestly could go on and on about this book. But one final note: there are DRAGONS. Different types of dragons and yes they talk!

If you are here then yes you should definitely give this book a chance. I believe you will NOT be left disappointed and will be wanting more. (Not a cliffhanger buttttt…just read it!)

Thank you Tyler for allowing me to read this arc, this review is entirely my own!

This book is an epic fantasy, and it lives up to that genre.

The cast of characters is diverse, the storyline forces them to learn hard things about themselves and their beliefs as they all fight for a common goal. You will laugh with them, cry for them, and want to follow them to the ends of their world. They will find amazing mages, awe inspiring dragons, and terrifying creatures…

I don’t want to give away too much, but suffice it to say, I loved this book and i hope you will too.

**I received an advanced copy from the author.

Shadows of the Dark Realm was a novel I found to be incredibly engaging. The plot was exciting and action-packed, though the ending didn’t quite blow me away. The characters, for the most part, were entertaining, fun and complex, with a variety of moralities and motivations. I enjoyed the writing and the world-building. I don’t know if this novel is intended to be the first in a series, or a standalone, but it works either way. Overall, it was a fun, compelling story, and one I can see a lot of fantasy fans enjoying.

"Shadows of the Dark Realm" is a TRUE Fantasy / Adventure
Easily 5 STARS! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 100% Worth the read!

A tale about a group of hero's who otherwise would never form an alliance to work together. They set off on a quest to save the world... Sound familiar right? BUT THERE IS SO MUCH MORE!

This book combines so many different elements us fantasy lovers LOVE. Add in some light silly humor, extremly well written characters, PLOT TWISTS that you actually don't see coming and MAGIC, DRAGONS, GARGOYLES, TROLLS, WITCHES, PORTALS, *BANTER* yes amusing banter. Grumpy MMC, Fiery FMC, the sarcastic smart*** MMC. Plenty of action & fighting. Plenty of bonds made & friendships that will never be broken after the journey they share together.

One of my favorite things about this book is the details about each character as well as the relationships formed between them. Great backstories that tug at your heart strings. This is not a romance book for you romance lovers, however there is still love to be shared between characters so all hope for that is not lost.

I laughed, I cried, I yelled & screamed. This is a book I will be re - reading & hoping for a sequel!

Read it. You will love it.

From the very first chapter of this book, I was HOOKED and knew I wouldn't be satisfied until I knew how it ended. Tyler's writing and process throughout the entire storyline is flawless. This is one of those novels that, as soon as you start it, you won't be able to sleep until you follow through until the end. The action is nonstop, edge of your seat, absolute MAYHEM, you just won't be able to pull away from.

This reads like a very involved DnD campaign in the best possible way! Lots of side quests and a wide cast of side characters, but never really in a way that was confusing.

Book Title: Shadows of the Dark Realm
Author: Tyler Edwards
Format: Digital – Kindle
Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

“Take her on your quest, and she will bring you great trouble and pain. Take her not on your quest and you will fail, and the world will fall to shadow.”

It takes a lot to keep me attached to a book when it has no smut in it and this book definitely kept my attention and continued to do so until the very last chapter. I’m gonna just say it because if not I will explode, I really hated Celeste

This was action packed and full of adventures and battle. I really liked the ragtag band of travelers, the epic quest, the dragons, and the way that they each had their own purpose that lead them to the same place. The way the author interwove their paths throughout the story without giving too much away was really well done. There were some twists and betrayals that I just did not see coming! A great new book to check out!

This was such a fun read! I want to read quest adventure fantasies now! Tyler did an incredible job at creating a new world with a huge host of characters and backstories.

So much action happens in this book, it was overwhelming at the start trying to remember who is who, but once I got the hang of it I could not put it down.

There were fun twists and really cool chapter flips where we’d see different perspectives. It kept me really engaged.

The characters were fantastic. At first, I wasn’t sure how Tyler was going to bring all the different personalities together, but they each had their own pasts that we learn about and we see the growth and demise of their friendships as the book progresses.

I definitely got attached to characters and became frustrated with others (it was intended). I can’t wait for book 2!

I would recommend this book for anyone looking for an adventure!

⭐⭐⭐️⭐️⭐(5/5 Stars)
Tyler Edwards’ Fantasy novel, Shadows of the Dark Realm, is an intense emotional rollercoaster ride that has you constantly wondering which way is up. The plot twists are expertly executed and wholly unexpected. In this story, a group of five strangers are sent on a quest, by King Alistar, to retrieve a stolen artifact and save their realm. Along the journey we see them, well most of them, go from enemies to friends who share a unique and deep bond. If you enjoyed The Lord of the Rings, I truly think you will fall in love with this book.

Additionally, Caelen and his sarcasm are an entertaining highlight throughout the book. His character had me laughing out loud during the most intense scenes. Shadows of the Dark Realm evoked an emotional game of ping pong within me and I struggled to put it down when life’s responsibilities called. This is a five-star book, hands down.
