The ending redeemed the book. Throughout the book the pacing and the way the world was described was doing my head in. It was a little slow paced and I found there was an over explanation. It felt very tell not show.

Plot went missing around the half way point of the book.

If you’re looking for mindless reading and smut and convenience, this is the book for you

When Joyce is killed by a client, the grim reaper comes to lead her to the after life. Turns out, the afterlife is a huge bureaucracy with directors, promotions, and rules, and the grim reaper demands she be his lawyer. Shenigans ensue.
It was a very fun book. Joyce was a really fun and relatable character.
I can't wait for the next book.

The premise of this book was so interesting. The book was okay. I enjoy it but wanted to enjoy it even more.

I did Love Joyce and her personality! She was strong, witty. Aiden was okay, I just didn’t feel like his personality really came to life until closer to the end of the book. So Joyce and Aiden together didn’t really come to life until closer to the end. Joyce and her one reaper friend held more interest to me really.

The biggest thing is that I connected the whole plot immediately and what was going to happen with just one sentence and that was said in like the first 10% of the book and I just couldn’t understand why it took Joyce so long to connect the dots of Aidens trial.

All in all though I did enjoy reading this book.

The premise of this book was enough to get me hooked even before I started reading it. The more I read, I started to fell in love with the characters - especially Joy - and Eden. The writing probably won't be everyones cup of tea but it worked well with this story.

The story was more about clothes and drinking than the real story
