Solid book. I almost ended up DNFing due to my lack of meshing with the characters at the beginning, but as I kept reading they really grew on me. I didn’t much care for the character to begin with but after they had some development they really got much better, especially Addy.
It was also very well crafted and the resolution was both surprising yet grounded worked really well, I’m glad I stuck with this one.

Nate and brownwyn are an amazing couple - and addys character development is so good bc at first she was insecure and always following Jake’s rules but then she became independent and just great. It does get a bit slow but then it speeds up again eventually. Also, it’s lacking tension which is why I prefer the sequel to it more (one of us is next) which is unpredictable and full of suspense.
i would’ve never in a million years predicted that Simon killed himself and Jake helped him

This book was like breakfast club mixed with gossip girl, mixed with 13 reasons why. At first I thought it would be cheesy reading about high schoolers, but I got into it really quickly. The characters are just so loveable. The book also had a lot of super serious and deep topics, but I feel like they were addressed in a tactful way. It dealt with a lot of real world issues that people have today without being too sad or depressing. Would recommend this book- and it was easy to read and big font lol so I liked that

the only way i can think of describing this book is "the breakfast club meets murder." the writing style was so captivating. i was on the edge of my seat trying to find out who killed who, who framed who, and who did what to who.
