Not bad - very dramatic but overall whatever. Something to read to pass the time. If you like PLL or Gossip Girl, I think you’d like this bc of its theme.

Hated the way the characters talked/interacted, but maybe I’m just removed from what high schoolers sound like now? Which would explain why I hated the dialogue so much.

Overall not bad if you want mindless and overly white/cishet, but not something you can really engage with.

where do I start,
this book was predictable in some ways, but in other ways it wasnt. the writing can be cringe at times, but in aim to capture dialogue and thoughts of teens it was almost true to picture.
the pace differed from medium to fast pace, which is perfect for me
i loved each of the main characters a lot but also in different way
i thought the the 4 way narrative was going to be a hard read and would interrupt the flow and pace, but McManus made it an approachable and easy read
the character development is second to none, and I simply loved it
the ending is *chefs kiss* just how i like an ending to be
I loved Addy’s independence, Cooper’s LGBTQ storyline was unexpected and loved Kris for joining the dots which is what the reader was doing, Bronwyn is me and I love her, Nate is typical bad boy, trauma from childhood, but you still fall in love with him. I think it’s clever how You shy away from sympathising with characters like Nate but in the end it switches and you no longer sympathise with Simon but you sympathise with Nate

holy crap! I bought this book ages ago and it stayed on my shelf forever. I didn't expect much, not being into murder mysteries but I was blow away with the writing. I fell in love with all the character within 20 pages, and was loudly cursing the annoying ones.
when I started this I didn't like addy and thought she was the murderer but after about 50 pages; her dumping a toxic piece of crap boyfriend, cutting and dying her hair, and just becoming an overall badass I feel in love. Nate and Bronwyn where absolutely adorable and yes I do think that they were a little rushed but not in a bad way. Cooper and Kris became one of my favorite couples and both deserve the world.
