After reading a few books where the chemistry felt slightly forced (or totally non-existent), this one just hit the mark. Although the book starts off a bit rough and left me wondering how I would ever love Bennet as a protagonist, Sperry introduces readers to Henry (the love interest) and everything clicks. Their dynamic, banter & insistence to give each other, New York, and life a fair chance was addicting to read.
I will say, I may be biased with this one and my 5 star rating. The subject matter hit home in too many ways for me, especially at the climax and with the issues the couple faces. I felt like I was looking through an alternative reality of my life and my grief, with many overlapping issues. Love love this one and already want to re-read. Already added to my “to buy” list.

The story annoyed me and so did the main character. I could not get invested.

quick easy read but i cant decide if i absolutely love it or somewhat hate it. so much back and forth. slow burn for sure! but they’re so cute and honestly teaches you so much about life and love. cute but also deep rom-com.

A solid three stars, because I related to Bennet. I feel like the main cast of characters is so interesting, almost as if they were like real people I could run into on the street. However, I have also never met a main cast of characters that I wanted to say "pause!! Please please please consider a therapist before you move another step in that direction!!" (Pot calling the kettle back here though lol) Things were moving way too fast with Bennet and Henry at the end there.
