so torn bc the first 80% of this book was show stopping phenomenal and i loved seeing bennet’s growth as a person & thru her grief. but jeez did she really fumble the last 20%!! the ending rushed through a bout of her being terrible, coming to her senses, and somehow resolving by the end.
the rushed ending and reversal of character growth all book kinda threw the rating for me.

I enjoyed this read. I think it was a good balance of light and heart! Although Bennett made some choices that I didn’t love, she grew on me .I absolutely adored Henry! Definitely check this book out if you are looking for a summer romance with nuance.

Well, it shattered my heart and then put it back together.
"Passion Project" follows the grief journey of Bennet and Henry. They each experience their grief in different ways and navigate how to support one another. I absolutely loved this book and, until I reached 78%, it was definitely going to be a 5-star read. While I understand the miscommunication and recognize the need for a third-act breakup, I found some words exchanged very hurtful. I realize that someone who is grieving may not see things clearly, but I was somewhat taken aback by it.
I really appreciated that he didn't end up being the solution for her happiness and future. Overall, it was a beautiful and enjoyable read, 4 stars!
