Bennet Taylor is set up on a date by her friend, but she skips the date and instead goes to the bar across the street to drink her feelings. Bennet’s college boyfriend died in a car accident, and Bennet still blames herself for her boyfriend being in the car that night and feels like she’ll be betraying him if she even considers moving on. She moved to NYC to live out his dream, but she has been mostly miserable so far. When Bennet runs into Henry, the guy she was supposed to be on the date with, after stumbling out of the bathroom at the bar, she learns that he happens to work there. When she has to go back the next day to get her misplaced wallet, she has a sober conversation with him and a friendship ensues. Together, they decide to spend time trying out new things as a sort of “Passion Project” to help Bennet find her passion after feeling so aimless.
0 stars if it was possible. I spent 99% of this book yelling “GIRL JUST GO TO THERAPY!” in my head. Beyond frustrating & a waste of the 2 weeks it took me to find the will to finish it
