This book is sheer PERFECTION!

I am a big fan of reading from an alternative character's perspective. Jennifer Armentrout does an amazing job of delivering the perspective of Hawke/Casteel.

In my humble opinion, A Soul of Ash and Blood is a perfect delivery of a compendum from the MMC perspective. I was not sure what to expect with this book, but I was genuinely thrilled with the end result.

This just made me oh so happy and content. I had already known what was going to happen because it was a retelling, just from Casteel's point of view, but seeing it from his eyes just completed the experience. Casteel was far more complex than I realized and I loved seeing his relationship develop with Poppy. That ending tho, it threw me so hard.
