A fine overview, taking into account its narrow scope and the fact that it’s dated.

Very informative overview of (liberal/non orthodox) Jewish life, broken down into four sections (Home, Community, The Cycle of the Year, and The Life Cycle). Diamant is really good at laying out the options and letting you know when there are different opinions on what’s required. It is fairly family-with-children focused at times, but there’s definitely a lot that can be applied to other families and single people.

Great introduction on the practicalities of Jewish life, I read this in tandem with "Honoring Tradition, Embracing Modernity" from the CCAR for an Introduction to Judaism class. I think they paired really well together as HTEM gave more of the religious/theological background while this was more practical.
