This book was surprisingly good! I enjoyed the plot and the characters are endearing (even with their murderous tenancies), however, it would have been so much better with a little more world building.

I can't wait for book 2 cause this ended on a cliffhanger and I need answers!!

Was this good? Yes
Could it have been better? Yes

I did enjoy the multiple POVs and getting to hear from the boys. Interestingly in a re-telling of Peter Pan, he wasn’t my favourite and I found the others more interesting. I also wish there was more of Neverland I found it hard to picture what it was like.

By all means this was a fast and easy read and I'm definitely continuing the series ❤️‍🔥🧚

Loved this book if I could give it a higher rating I would. I've been struggling to find a book to keep my attention for a few weeks now but as soon as I picked up this book I couldn't put it down it captivated me from page 1. Excited to start book 2!

“Maybe we're all mad, in our own way.”

Summary: Decades ago, Peter Pan had his shadow stolen from him, so now Neverland & Peter are dying. The only way to find his shadow? Kidnap a Darling descendant when they turn 18 and pry their inherited memories from their head to find his shadow. Winnie Darling is the latest descendant and has just turned 18. Her mother prepared her for this moment, in horrific ways, so when Peter and the Lost Boys show her who they are and what they want, she rises to the challenge. But does she want more than they are willing to give?

“How much you break is entirely up to you.”

My Thoughts:
The overall idea of the story is good. However, this book in my opinion lacked any type of depth and on top of that, if it was just meant to be spicy, where is the spice? The spice was generic, lackluster, something you could read in a generalized reddit post that wouldn’t even be censored. The characters were bland and boring, the world building was nonexistent. And the writing was very clunky and juvenile at times. I have heard the series does get better so I will at least try the 2nd book still.

“She needs to know…there are no white knights here. Just monsters. And I am the worst one.”

Read this book if:
- You are just looking for a quick, fun read to cleanse the palette.

Happy Reading Besties 😊
