Such a difficult book to rate.
On one hand I read it within about a day, and I wanted to keep reading in order to figure out what the outcome of the book was.
On the other hand, it is a completely different type of book than Delaney's regular thrillers. It started off normal, but quickly turned ridiculous.
I'd give it 3.5 stars (I always round up!)

4.5⭐️. Thought I had it figured out, but not so! Great ending!

Another good one from JP Delaney. Finding out your child is not your child would be a horrifying experience. But when the birth parents might be crazy...what do you do? Quick, suspenseful read.

A fantastic psychological thriller. The kind of novel I end up racing through because the tension is so palpable, and then I usually go back and read it all again. Another good read by J P Delaney.

A couple finds out that their young son isn’t who they think he is, and have to work out what to do about it. And they’re not the only people affected so they have to work alongside strangers to make these difficult decisions. And clashing personality types make a very complicated situation even more complicated as it moves along.

4/5. A slow burn of a thriller that converts to almost breakneck speed halfway through, then concludes with a cushy ending. I still enjoyed the journey, but it felt a little rough at times.

*Insert wide eye and shocked face emojis here* WOW!!
“Playing Nice” takes you through several twists and turns as the story of a child swap mix up and patents worse nightmare comes to light. Both families try and resolve the situations amicably, but that’s when the tale goes down a disturbing path, which leaves the reader hooked with every page.

Great psychological thriller, I was gripped throughout reading this book with jaw dropping moments thrown in for good measure. JP Delaney takes the readers into the minds of the main protagonists, in such a clever way, you can picture everything that unfolds in such vivid detail.

Highly recommend if a thriller is what you’re looking for, and also if you’re not! 4.2*

I really enjoyed this book. It was so fast paced and had twists throughout the book instead of only at the end. This is my second book by this author and I cannot wait to read some more.
