I devoured this via audiobook in 1 day. I loved it!
Made me feel awful for poor dumb St. Peter and kept me wanting to know what came next.
What a fun little domestic drama thriller.

Took me a bit to get into but then once it got going it was so fun to read. Good twists and turns.
I enjoyed this read, but found it to be a bit predictable and I was able to determine the twist about 60% into the book.
Kept me interested
Such an interesting tale of what might happen if babies get switched. How that not everyone acts like you or thinks like you!

I think I liked how the major plot twists were just kind of there and not super dramatic. I could see this plotline being a situation that actually played out in real life. And maybe some realistic approaches to people examining their own behavior. I’m still not sure. I liked any of the characters at the end, but justice in a way was served. Still some messed up actions that kind of leave you wondering in general.
I don't usually seek out domestic thrillers, but when an author presents me, within the first few pages, a stay-at-home dad who learns that his two-year-old son is not actually his biological child because two babies were swapped at the hospital, that kind of hook captures me. I read 100ish pages in the first sitting.
This story's pacing is fantastic. Pete, the stay-at-home dad, and his partner Maddie narrate, and the details about the two children and the two couples just trickle out perfectly. There's the obvious problem of what do these parents do, but there's also an investigation into how the babies got mixed up in the NICU.
Not all of the twists in this story are huge. Some of the smaller turns simmer for a bit as they morph into larger twists.
Every once in a while the author is a little heavy handed with some of the psychology details. I can't be too specific without getting spoilery, but as an example, there's some debate about whether nature or nurture plays a larger role in a child's development. Fair enough question to pose, but at times the repetition of some of these psychological details just felt like an unnecessary hammer.
Regardless, I highly recommend this thriller for anyone who's looking to pull themselves out of a book slump. There's a similar "holy crap, this could really happen" vibe to both books.

Brilliant book. Could not put it down. Factually correct too...
