This was a good read, but I preferred The Perfect Wife to this particular one. That’s not to say I won’t read other books but this author again though. I enjoyed the pacing and the characters.

To be honest this book was a major let down. I had heard such good things about this book but the end just didn’t make sense there was no references earlier in the book or any build up indicator why this happened… very odd.

Didn’t enjoy and wouldn’t read again.. too slow and lack of a cohesive story for me

I went back and forth between a 3 and 4 for this book. I ultimately went with 4 due to the unique perspective and the last 3/4 of the book. I really enjoyed how the book pushed typical viewpoints of a family and gender roles. The book kept good pace and kept me engaged. Ultimately the book was a unique read with a great storyline

I really loved the idea of this book and I felt so many emotions while reading it. The dominant emotion was rage; rage for how oblivious everyone in this book was and for how Pete and Maddie addressed the problems. I get not wanting to rock the boat but it took them way too long to consult a lawyer about this. I would be interested in reading more by the author.
