I like the whole idea of the book but I think that it could have been wrote better. I believe that it sounds very close to many other dystopian novels. Maybe if it had been write differently I would have enjoyed it better.
I really liked this book cant wait to read the second one!
Why couldn't i like this one! I wanted to like it and had been waiting to read it for a while because the cover is so pretty. I was enjoying it to begin with and thought it sounded similar to "The Giver" by Lois Lowry (which is one of my favourite books!) but sadly it didn't last. I got up to page 242 and decided that I had had enough. It was so boring and I REALLY struggled to get this far. I didn't feel any connections to the characters and felt like the story was taking too long to get to the good stuff. I need action, intrigue or romance in my books to keep me happy and unfortunately it didn't tick any of those boxes for me. I know I only had just over 100 pages to go but I wanted to get onto something else I would like. In the end I read online what happened in the last few chapters and thought meh? Sorry pretty book, you just weren't meant for me!

For me this was a boring read. Nothing really happens or is exciting in the book. I forced myself to go to the end and I am happy to have it finished.
