this book was very good. i liked the story world condie created. i felt very transformed after reading it. thanks
I am ready for November for the next one to come out. This was great!
Matched is fine. It’s not exciting or intriguing, but there are a few lines that are quite beautiful and memorable. And it does feel like a start to a series that could lead to something more… but it is not! The series is really dull and boring and you will not learn anything more about society or philosophy or poetry for that matter. Don’t read this series please revisit The Hunger Games instead or Uglies or even The Selection (which is more fantasy than dystopia). Just don’t read this series.
not my fave, but great characters and good romance. loved the world building but I wouldn’t be in a rush to read the sequel.
Good but I feel it was too much like The Giver and that I've read too many of this genre of book! Entertaining but I don't know that I'd read the other two in the series...I'd rather have someone give me a synopsis of what happens.
So Cassia is stuck in a 'love triangle' and has to choose between Xander and Ky. That's mainly the whole story. You know with dystopic novels there are always problems with the society and some sort or rebellion later on. There are some conflicts with the Society but Cassia spends most of the book with Ky on the Hill.
Matched was a good read. I liked how I was hooked but the characters really need more work on because we get to know Ky the whole time and Xander is left in the dust. I feel bad for Xander in the end but Ky was actually interesting. To me, Cassia and everybody else felt 2D and the writing especially made it feel this way.
I remember being really excited for this book before it came out but I completely forgot about it. Here I am reading Matched a year later. I fell in love with the cover and the dress and I like the cover for Matched better than Crossed. The green is so pretty, but never judge a book by it cover -_- (This is a problem for a cover whore like me).
The pacing is really slow and it takes forever for a conflict to happen. Nothing. Happens. The conflict if obviously the Society so yeah but to me it wasn't a huge conflict at all. The first 2/3 of the books was good because sometimes I dont mind if a stories plot has nothing happen but the last 1/3 was a little confuzzling. The ending was kinda rushed and just tries to be a cliffhanger. I like what Cassia decides to do in the end but I guess the whole book just a OKAY.
I still wanna read the second book even if the cover is not the best cover ever and the book doesnt have the best rating ever.

After reading The Darkest Minds I was desperately searching for another dystopian/adventure/romance filled book and this one filled the void! Highly recommended, I will say it took me a few chapters to get into, but keep pushing because it’s worth it!
Not bad. You could tell that it was almost a clone of the Giver except with not quite as good of writing. And somehow I didn't agree with the entire romantic plot dilemma thing. Honestly I was more interested in the mother and father storylines than the main character. But it kept me interested and I want to read the next one so 4 stars I guess. Maybe 3.5.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought her style of writing was very good; I may get in trouble with some people, but I think it was better written than The Hunger Games. Definitely recommend it.
WOah, this book really was a whirlwind kinda forbidden romance. Shocking stuff, just to think of what our society could turn into. I loved it more than i thought i would. Great book, great plot, i have to read the next one.
