This book does seem to be somewhat of a combination of The Giver and The Hunger Games, however I did still enjoy it, as those books are also among my favorites of all time. There were some similarities but plenty of differences too, so it didn't feel like a copy as some reviews have indicated. I found some parts of the story a little vague and confusing (like what exactly does a 'sorter' sort?) but overall it was enjoyable to read. I am looking forward to the next 2 in the series.

Not sure how I feel about this series yet. Intriguing but a little familiar so we'll see how the 2nd book goes.
Matched is an interesting dystopian novel. I'd say it's more character driven. To be honest, though, the society they live in isn't horrible in a lot of ways, but I guess it does limit their freedom of choice, which is something the book focuses on. It's a fun book that sets up well for the sequels.

I hated it. I felt that the story-line was dull and was predictable. I honestly was unable to enjoy it, and I will definitely not be continuing with the series.
