Listened to it on audiobook after watching the movie. Interesting story.

So I watched the movie first and was intrigued enough to pick up the book so as to know what personal aspects were different. In summary but without spoilers: the poker action in the book was as intriguing as the movie and written with more context for the players, personal relationships were elaborated on in Molly’s life leading the reader to better understand her as a person as well as to get a cleaner view of the addiction she had to the lifestyle and power.

More entertaining than expected, although not particularly deep. This made for a quick, enjoyable listen and my pop culture proclivities were sated by the celebrities that crossed paths with Bloom. Information about Bloom's love life didn't interest me unless it tied directly to what was happening with her poker operation, and I was surprised at the book's abrupt ending as well as how little of the aftermath is dealt with in the epilogue. More than anything, listening to this book made me want to rewatch the movie after having gained so many interesting new details from Molly herself.

Meh. It was interesting because I learned about a world I knew nothing about. But I wasn't rooting for her. She joined a "billionaire boys club" and decided to run her own in the exact same way, including exploiting young, attractive women for the enjoyment of rich, older, (mostly white), men. Gross.

The story was super interesting, but this is definitely a book you read if you’ve never seen the movie and or have intention of seeing it. It’s like reading the script of the movie. Thankfully it’s a quick easy read

Oooh, this book was SO interesting. I really enjoyed it. Molly Bloom is such an incredible, determined, hardworking, and entrepreneurial woman and I loved hearing her story. I was floored by her endless drive and want to expand and do better, to be better. I found the book to be well written and very entertaining. I could feel my heart hurt for Molly at various points during her story.

Picking up Molly's Game, I knew nothing about, nor had any interest in poker - I still don't, but you don't need to to read this book. Molly's story is an incredible one, and I am proud of what she achieved, and what she withstood. She is a very strong woman, and her story inspired me.

Definitely recommend!
