The Queen by Jennifer L. Armentrout is the last spin-off novella of the Wicked Trilogy. Brighton knows that she cannot have Caden. The king needs a queen to help his Court survive. Therefore, Brighton is willing to give up everything, even though she knows that he loves her and she loves him. A challenging time for both of them lays ahead.

I was so excited for this book. I was nervous, thrilled and also scared! Scared because I loved the other two books so much and just hoped that this one would be as good. Jennifer L. Armentrout did not disappoint (she never does). This book was a really nice wrap up of the Wicked Trilogy. We got to meet all of our favorite characters again. I am just very happy about that.

Even though I loved the book and think it is a perfect ending to the story, I feel like there is something missing. The story itself was not that thrilling and action-packed as the others. Everything was more calm and I missed some proper fights. I would have loved to have more fights and action. Apart from that I fell in love with Tink even more than before. I always liked him, but I never got used to his humor. In this book, he became a very caring being (I wanted to say human, but he isn't). He made the book funny and warm. I also have to admit that I like the "badass" Caden a bit more than the "confessing-my-feelings" Caden. But this might go hand in hand with the reason that there is not much action in the book.

I am so sad that this series is over now. But now it is time to finally read the other books by Jennifer L. Armentrout I have not read yet! I can't wait for that. I highly recommend the Wicked Trilogy, especially the spin-off novellas!
