3.5 stars. Haven’t read this book since high school so it was fun rereading it. I forgot how much more happened in the books than the movies (per usual)

31.01.2023: I love love love love this series so so so much. The book and the show have now merged into one in my brain due to consuming them at the same time. it's a pleasant and confusing feeling.
***
When I was in middle school, I found the fourth book of this series in my class library, borrowed it and started reading it without even knowing it belonged to a five-booked series. I read the fourth book first, then second, I don't really remember the exact order in which I read these books first but I read them several times. Like, I don't know which one but I clearly remember reading one of them for the fifth time. Because I was obsessed, it turned out I still am. And this is the first time I started to read Percy Jackson in order because why not.
You probably figured how much I loved this series, back then.
I still love the same now. This book is gorgeous. It's brilliantly written, I can see all the clever foreshadowing Riordan put here and there and... It's just beautiful. Percy is funny, brave and a realistic hero, I love reading from his perspective. And Annabeth... Look, they are my first book ship, okay? Just do endure me being a little emotional.
Anyways, I will continue reading with the second book. Anyone who haven't read this, go read it, you'll love it.

5 stars, no critique. Great book and big nostalgia, we love to see it. Can't wait to read the other 4 books again. Thanks new Percy Jackson show for giving me the motivation to reread the book series.
