I liked getting to see this story from another perspective. I also loved how this book was more focused on romance and second chances. While it deviates from the vibes and general genre of the first book, these two go together perfectly.
I liked it! It was a wonderful ending to a story I hadn't known I needed. I also enjoyed that it switched from Mia's perspective in the first book to Adam's perspective in this one. If you loved the first one I would definitely recommend continuing on with this one.
I liked Where She Went a lot more than If I Stay. I don't remember too much about IIS, so I can't speak too much to the particulars as a comparison.
I liked Adam's POV, why he did what he did in the past three years, although I found it a bit of a stretch that he and Mia are in their late teens/early 20s. I only wish I were that worldly and self-possessed at that age. I don't care that they were superstars in their respective musical worlds, I don't know many people who grasp what they did until their thirties or forties.
Still liked the book. Unsure how I feel about the lyrics, liked the HEA.

This sequel to “If I Stay” wasn’t terrible, but it did not have the same effect on me that the previous book did. It is written the same way as the first, through the POV of one character over a 24 hour period, with glimpses of the past that really tell the story. It is well written and realistic and emotional, but Adam’s story did not speak to my soul like Mia’s story did. I am glad to have read it though, I needed to know “what happened next” and I read it in a day’s time like the last one. It was good “closure” but it can’t stand alone. It needs the first book for meaning and context.

I wish I could say this book was as good as the first, however this book made me want to put it down. I read the first book in 4 days, and this second book took me 3 weeks. Just the way the story was told, compared to the first. I wish it could have been told a different way. However the ended did save the book, I just wish it didn’t take 200 pages to get there!
