The narrator of the audiobook was fantastic. I’d love to read this same book from the lens of societal attitudes toward schizophrenia and mental illness in general.

An interesting exploration of mental health and schizophrenia treatment, research and lived experience over 60 years told through a family living with its impacts. For me, it could have done with a little more editing, but a worthwhile read nonetheless.

It was so well written it felt more like a story than a nonfiction book. I think that the book sometimes says things definitely that are speculative, but overall it was great.
