did not finish, just didn’t get on with it, but plot was good

This is the type of weird shit that happens when your dating pool is too small.

Can revenge heal the pain?

At first the story can be a bit confusing because some characters share the same names across two generations. Once I got used to the family tree and how everyone is connected, things started to make more sense.

The writing creates vivid scenes and a strong sense of atmosphere, even in the smallest details. Still, I didn’t feel fully attached to any of the characters. The storytelling is not dramatic or grand, but it works in its own way.

At its core, this is a story about two families in conflict, different social classes, and personal struggles. There is unrequited love, and the mistakes of the older generation spill over into the next. The characters are often overwhelmed by intense emotions. Heathcliff stands out the most. His darker side shows in the way he uses the people around him to get revenge. Even so, the rawness of the characters makes the story compelling.

Overall, it was an enjoyable read. I wanted to keep going just to see what would happen next.

If I had to pick a favorite character, I would choose Nelly Dean. She is strong-willed and observant, and I enjoyed her interactions with others. Some conversations were even quite funny.

Without any doubt, Mr. Heathcliff is the most evil character in the entire history of english literature. A man who never gets to love, the one who in front of a similar gives him the worst of a human being. Hate is so natural on him since he was little, that he ruins the life of the family that welcomes him for up to two generations. Even Charles M. turned his soul to music, even Adolf H. started out as an artist, even Keiko F. does what she does out of love for her father and none of these characters even come close to Mr. Heathcliff.
