Dear God, I got so tired of her going "I'm a lizard" and always talking about wanting sex but not wanting to have it, but also wanting it. It's never-ending. Like Ugh. It was so annoying. If this wasn't the fourth book with only one book left, I wouldn't finish the series.

This book has been amazing! I couldn't stop reading and finished it in one day.

The book is just perfect and caused so many emotions. But the ending broke my heart :'(
I absolutely love the series and I like C.C. Hunter's writing style because it makes me feel with Kylie and she describes all characters so good that I like them all and do not feel like they are just some people who are in the book.

I admit there were a couple of lines in here that made me want to kill myself but oh my sweet baby Jesus I LOVED this book. Okay I think this is literally my favorite book of this whole series because I mean, common.
So at the beginning I was TOTALLY team Derek and I was for like the longest time but THEN ah-ha I got to the part where Lucas sort of just accepts that Kylie is a vampire and that was the part that got me on team Lucas again. I mean he was a freaking self obsessive jerk for half the book who wanted Kylie to be a werewolf which is what got me SO mad, because he couldn't love Kylie for who she was, he always wanted to change her into something she wasn't, a werewolf who couldn't talk to ghosts and I was SO freaking pissed at him but then he was like 'I still love you even though you're not a werewolf' and I was like "What do you mean you STILL love her? Like you wouldn't love her if she wasn't a werewolf" but then I thought about it and it wasn't perfect but it was a start so I was like 'Fine you know what, let's give team Lucas another try' so I started being team Lucas and I was actually all awe on him.
SpoilerAlright so that ending, can we just talk about that ending for one minute? Okay so like DUDE Kylie finally becomes a werewolf, she FINALLY becomes what Lucas has been dying for her to become since they were freaking children and of course freaking Lucas wasn't there to see it because freaking Lucas was too busy getting freaking engaged to freaking Monique. I was like 'Girl, who the hell are you besides irrelevant? How did you even get into this story?' and man, the part when Kylie's watching him kiss Monique and "Not a sound filled the night as Lucas pulled the girl into his arms and kissed her. Kissed her like he'd kissed Kylie." and I was like DUDE, 'KISSED HER LIKE HE'D KISSED KYLIE' and I died, and I wish that he'd died too. I wanted to freaking MURDER him and...actually no, I was just mad. I didn't want to murder him until "She looked back one more time, Lucas had his arms around the woman. He looked happy. Genuinely happy." I WANTED TO CRY FOR HER. Because it would've been one thing if he'd kissed her because he had to, but the fact that he was actually happy, man that hit me right in the feels.
I honestly felt like this book would've make the perfect ending, with a few tweaks of course. Like maybe Kylie goes with her grandfather because she feels she needs to belong somewhere after all that. Like how Lucas goes to explain it to her and she says ,i>"You did what you had to do. As hard as it is, I understand that." Lucas belonged with his pack, his people. And so did she." and I felt like this would've made the perfect ending because it made a perfect 360, the book started with Kylie getting to shadow falls and clutching her suit case and at the end she's using the same exact suit case leaving to be with her family and it would've been the perfect ending because in real life there is no 'conclusion', there isn't a part where we get all the answers and 'live happily ever after' because there's always something. This series could have ended there and maybe like 10 years after this book was published or maybe even at the end there could have been an epilogue showing what happened to Kylie and how even though Lucas wasn't right for her when she was still a teenager maybe she runs into him when she's older and they actually work out because they're more mature OR maybe she runs into Derek and she's surprised to see her old friend and they're really happy to see each other and at the beginning they're just friends because she chose Lucas over him but then we see Lucas all grown up married to Monique with 2 kids and everything and Kylie is all 'Why don't I care? I should care. Oh maybe I don't care because I like Derek' and stuff like dude I have so many ideas but

ANYWAYS this book was the bomb.com and I just adored every minute of it.

“We all must pay a price for following our own paths. But... it's not always fair to ask others to pay that price.

Ah so many emotions! I'm still trying to settle through them. I finished this book a few minutes ago so I'm still trying to see how I'm going to write this review. Let me just start off by saying, WHY LUCAS?!? You have crushed my heart. This was such an awesome installment to the Shadow Falls series. I am surprised that the whole plot ending thing went by so fast! I wanted it to be more detailed. And why a cliff hanger? Ugh! I can't begin to explain how much I want the next book in my hands at this moment. I just want to read Chosen at Nightfall right now. I laughed so much through this book and cried a lot. I was in a whole emotional outburst through this book, I got some weird looks from my family. I loved this book!

- Kylie
I seriously love Kylie's character. She seemed very rude in this book than in the others, I know she was going through a lot but she had a pissy attitude which I found a little annoying. Other than that, her character is just amazing. I don't care that she finds herself weird, I find her so freaking badass. Just that she can do so much amazes me. I love seeing her powers grow through every single book.

- Lucas
AHH! You killed me. With those few pages, you have killed me. I just can't. I was growing onto Lucas, I have been so in love with Derek that in this book I was finally loving Lucas but I just can't believe that whole thing that just happened. I do wish there were a little more scenes with Lucas and I hated how he rarely made time to see her saying the whole "pack" thing. I got tired of it. He should have sat with her at lunch, told her he loved her. Boy you were too late!

- Derek
I did love Derek but in this book he just seemed like a really good friend. I remember in the other books how much more he was involved and even though there were a lot of scenes with him and her thoughts about him, I was just wanting more Lucas. I do love Derek, I think that he may have made a better boyfriend than Lucas but there are things about Lucas that just makes my heart melt.

- Holiday & Burnett & Della & Miranda
All very important characters that are just amazing. I love every single character in this book!

Overall, I think it is pretty obvious how much I loved this book. This is my favorite of the series so far and I am hoping to get the next book as soon as possible. That cliffhanger killed me as well as Lucas's betrayal. I need to know what happens! It did feel a little dull at times and I just skimmed through some pages but I found this book incredible.
