First read through gave it 3 stars because I was so pissed off— second read through I’ve come to understand just how much set up SJM did in this book and how much i missed the first time around

Read this for the second time almost ten years after reading it the first time–this time around doing a buddy read so I can finally finish this series. Let me tell you I am IN THIS. Very invested. So far I've definitely been tracking how each book feels individually versus in the larger series arc. Each book ends with the promise of things to come, for sure, but I'm not feeling frustrated by cliffhangers or "filler books." Onward!

i enjoyed this one but it was a bit lengthy and a tad boring i did get confused near the end. the entire time i was reading this i was like "i'm not going to read the next one" but it ended in such a good way that i had to read the next.

(4.5) Second read of this book. Slower start but so much going on towards the end of the book. So many reveals. I also picked up way more the second time I read this.

Things are getting really good! If it is a Sarah J. Maas book, always be prepared for the final 100 pages
