These beautiful poems from Gillian Clarke were an absolute pleasure to read and I will return to them many times. My favourite was The Oak Wood but there were so many here that I loved, particularly the last few; December, Solstice, The Darkest Day, all so atmospheric and they made me long for winter despite it being a beautiful May morning here. I really would recommend these.

I loved the first third or so with its liberal scattering of Welsh words. I missed all that in the rest of it though. More Welsh stuff please :)
