This was magical and whimsical and I loved it. I couldn't put this down particularly towards the end. I liked that you never really knew what was real and not .
I really felt like Scarlett should have been more angry and both Tella and Julian. Tella especially - she lied and manipulated her. AND then faked her death. Scarlett held her dead body - that just isnt okay.
I cant wait to read the rest of the series.

Really enjoyable book. Would give it 5 stars but I thought the end was a little strange? Unexpected and slightly underwhelming/unbelievable/confusing. But overall great book. Looking forward to the next one. Especially love a sister relationship!

This book gets 3 stars only because I enjoyed the beginning. The idea of the game and the abstract way she traded for things was creative. Then, it went off the rails. I cared nothing for the romance, the writing is horrific at times, and the explanation was dumb. Other people were playing the game to find Tella, but they never really come into play. What was the point of mentioning them? Why not make it a game for just Scarlett?
