This was a raw, real and emotional story of a toxic relationship surrounding addiction and mental health. This story does not start out with a perfect couple who just can't be together, this is truly a depiction of a toxic relationship from the very beginning. This is truly a journey with over a decade spanning their story. This wasn't my favorite by Carian Cole but she really does know how to deliver a story that hooks me and gets me emotional along the way.

I am glad I read this book, but I don’t love it. The beginning felt a little off to me especially with how their relationship was before everything switched up on her. It was after that point, the story just lost me. I didn’t like how much of the book, which spans 10 years, our couple isn’t even together. Like it a couple of meets ups and lots of phone conversations, but most of the plot the H isn’t even in the picture.

I did cry a couple of times especially when the litttle bird told him what to do. That really got me. But t other than that, I just felt bad for the other people that come along once he leaves her. Another thing, the h not having a relationship or sex the whole duration of their time apart, 10 years, 😩! No, no, no! She is kind of a doormat!

I would recommend this, but for me this isn’t a reread!
