I really loved this book. The first half of this book was so cozy and sweet, it made me very emotional when thinking about my own family. I found the second half much less enjoyable. While the first half feels modern, the second half dates it.
For instance, Jo giving up writing or Meg being blamed for neglecting her husband.
As is so common, I didn't like
Amy
as a character and I felt frustrated with her pairing
with Laurie. However, I was really happy to see this have a happy ending. Beth's death was written so beautiful it made me cry, and
Laurie was my favorite character along with Jo.

Like so many of my peers, J totally think Jo should have married Laurie. I mean, I like the professor, but?well, perhaps it is more true to say Laurie should have married Jo. Course, he would have liked to?.

I don't sit well with classics, but I love thos for Jo and Laurie.

A very strange occurrence where I enjoyed the movie (2019 version) more than the book itself. Thoroughly enjoyed the deep resonance of familial loyalty, love, and appreciation throughout this well-known storyline, though.
