The writing style is slightly different so it can be quite difficult to read initially, especially when you can't keep track of which character is talking etc. But once you get the hang on it, you'd realize that the whole story really revolves around Connell and Marianne who are young, normal teens trying to find themselves and find love while struggling with a lot of other issues (e.g. mental health, friendship and relationship problems, insecurities). The story plot is literally the characters' developments and growth - which I'm not complaining because they were v relatable. The ending chapters though... broke my heart :(

I didn't particularly love it. It's an it's fine book. Nothing too special. Also, a bit difficult to follow or believe because all. I hated the end.

Very, very disappointing. If you're straight and like really unlikeable characters and toxic relationships maybe you'll like this book.
