Type of read: Weekend/Lunch time read.

What made me pick it up: King is a favorite of mine and at a recent visit to our McKay's Bookstore I found the entire 'The Green Mile' series in all of its beautiful short story glory.

Overall rating: I'm really enjoying the way that this series is written. It's so nice to have shorter, dedicated stories for key parts of the bigger story. Reading has always been a way for my brain to relax and not have to think, but the way that these are written takes that to the extreme. I'm not worried about the other 600+ pages of the story. I'm just focused on the 100 that are right in front of me. 'The Mouse on the Mile' goes into detail about Mr. Jingles, the mouse that appears at The Green Mile. If you've just seen the movie, you know this is more than just a mouse. King does a great job bringing life and personality to all of his characters, no matter their size.

Reader's Note: I also fully admit, I know I'm biased when it comes to books by Stephen King, they have been and always will be a favorite of mine. They are one of the first authors I look for when we go to bookstores and I absolutely love the fact that many of their books can perfectly fit on my person (either in my pocket, purse, or backpack) for everyday and extended travel.

This was an interesting book
The only thing that confused me was that they didn’t really talk about Coffey through the whole thing- the Mouse was the main attraction and that felt weird

Otherwise was good

These are such good chapter books! I wish Mr. King had done more this way. It was very hard not to flip the page on over to the next one, but I promised myself...one a month or so. Waiting....waiting...

Well, I have to say that I have enjoyed this second part of The Green Mile. I can also say that this book truly ends the build up and world building. At the very end things truly start to happen and I can't wait to jump into part 3 to see what is going to happen on E-Block.

We meet more of the characters. I really enjoyed the Mr. Jingles (mouse) part. 2nd book leaves on a cliff hanger. Can't wait to read more tomorrow.

Listened to this on audio and also read along in physical book. It really annoyed me when the narrator changed words which happened quite frequently making it hard to follow along.
