I love this series. Cleo is so spunky, and in this one you get the first hints of what might be coming between her and Antony. So fun!
Once again Maihack does a great Cleopatra in Space book. Action, adventure and the story progresses. I love it!
I've never read any of this series before, but it's pretty fun! The fight scenes are very well illustrated; they're easy to follow but also pretty exciting, and Maihack really highlights just how badass Cleopatra is. The political intrigue is VERY Star Wars (this is a great read for your Star Wars bbs) but the romance felt relatively cliche? I think romance written for this age in general is often like that. I do like Antony as a character; he's clearly got some intriguing moral grey-ness and not yet revealed backstory (saving an orphanage? Dunno) that made me want to read the next volume. (I also would like to go back and eventually read the first three.) Despite just now jumping in I can see that Cleo's had some solid character development, and it looks like there are other cool female heroes in the books too (mainly Akilah.) Also - omg there is a council of CATS if someone had told me that I would have gotten around to this series earlier, GEEZE.
AAAAAAAAH I LOVED THIS. This was by far my favorite one yet! This series just keeps getting better and better! Can’t wait for the next volume.
