...yummy and fun, as always...

Everyone's favorite little cupcake group is back in this 8th novel in The Cupcake Club series, Bakers on Board. This time around, Jenna's family has come down with the chicken pox, which leaves prepaid tickets on a cruise ship available to all of the cupcake girls. And, of course, who would ever say no to a cruise?!

The girls just have to do one small thing -- make 12,000 delicious cupcakes for the ship's pirate extravaganza.

And, sure, the girls in the cupcake club have learned to be prepared for anything -- but, are they really ready for a task of this magnitude?

Young readers of early chapter books, or maybe even children younger than that with the help of a parent ready to read a fun bedtime story, will likely find the same charm and cuteness present in the earlier books in the series. Sure, things seem awfully convenient and sugar coated at times, but I'm sure most kids won't find any fault with a happily ever after, right?

Overall, the story was pretty cute and I'm sure I'll read and review others in the future.

I did receive an advanced reader's copy for the purpose of providing an honest review. All thoughts are my own and are uninfluenced by the manner in which the story was received.
