Hunger & Cursed Shadows is a prequel from Blood & Magic Eternal series!
Definitely recommend for those of you who haven't read the previous series, Primordial of Shadowthorn like I did.
It tells us the beginning of how the vampire was first created and come to this world.
With only 100 pages, the author is able to bring the readers up to speed to explain some important things for the readers to understand the background story of some characters and how this dark fantasy world works.
It's a good introduction which makes me get even more curious and excited to begin Blood & Magic Eternal series!

Freaking Alphonse.... Great little novella that explains where the noctis came from and why things went the way they did

Halira Davenport has vanquished the demons from Arcathain and restored the magic. Of course they call her a hero. Now there will finally be peace. But soon they realize that there are other monsters out there. Some even closer than Halira wants to admit...
This is a prequel for Jessaca Willis' new series "Blood & Magic Eternal", but also a bridge between this and the series "Primordials of Shadowthorn". In the latter demons rages, in the new one vampires reign. I haven't read "Primordials..." (this is the first I've read by Jessaca Willis), but it worked well. We get enough information to understand the background, and it makes me curious for more!
There are three Davenport siblings and we get chapters from everybody's viewpoint; Halira, Kalli and Tor. They have very different personalities, which makes it really interesting - and frustrating. "Hunger & Cursed Shadows" is a promising introduction to a dark fantasy I'm sure I will enjoy!
